Who we are

Benson Curates Ltd is responsible for your personal information (the “controller”, in data-protection terms). We are registered in England and Wales, company number 17417635, and our registered office is 170 Wiltshire Close, London SW3 2NY.

What we collect

We only collect what you choose to give us:

• Discover Your Taste. If you complete the questionnaire and send it, we receive your name, the email address and/or phone number you enter, your answers (including your preferred investment range and the brands you like) and the profile the questionnaire suggests.
• When you contact us by email, phone or WhatsApp, we receive your contact details and whatever you choose to tell us.
• Our website host (Netlify) automatically records basic technical information, such as your IP address and browser type, to deliver the site and keep it secure.

How we use it, and why

• To reply to you, prepare your personal suggestion (for example, three watches chosen for your profile) and arrange viewings or consultations you ask for. We do this because you have asked us to, and to take steps towards any purchase or service you are considering.
• To look after our relationship with you if you become a client, and to keep the records the law requires (for example, for tax).
• We do not sell your information, and we do not send you marketing unless you have asked us to. You can ask us to stop contacting you at any time.

Cookies and tracking

This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics or advertising trackers. The typefaces on the site are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google and shares your IP address with Google to fetch them.

Who else handles your information

We use a small number of trusted services to run Benson Curates. They handle information on our behalf and only as needed:

• Netlify: hosts this website and receives the Discover Your Taste questionnaire.
• Microsoft 365: our email.
• WhatsApp (Meta): if you choose to message us on WhatsApp.
• Google: the website’s typefaces, as described above.

Some of these providers may process information outside the UK, including in the United States. Where they do, the transfer is protected by safeguards recognised under UK data-protection law, such as standard contractual clauses. We will only share your information with anyone else, such as a maison or venue, when that is needed to arrange something you have asked for, and we will tell you first.

How long we keep it

• If you send us the questionnaire or an enquiry and do not go on to become a client, we delete your information within 24 months of our last contact.
• If you become a client, we keep your information for as long as we work together, and records of any purchase for six years afterwards, as UK tax law requires.

Your rights

You can ask us, free of charge, to:

• give you a copy of the information we hold about you;
• correct anything that is wrong or incomplete;
• delete your information;
• stop or limit how we use it, or object to our using it;
• send your information to you or to someone else in a portable format.

Email info@bensoncurates.com and we will reply within one month. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
